Marc Shachtman

Founder & CEO

Marc Shachtman is the Founder and CEO of True Wealth Advisory Group, located in Miami, Florida. 

True Wealth Advisory Group is partnered with HighTower and Fidelity Investments, and is comprised of experienced financial services professionals with diverse strengths and specialties.  

True Wealth Advisory Group is solely committed to serving the distinct financial needs of ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families and organizations. 

Marc serves as the Chairman of the True Wealth Advisory Group Investment Committee. Prior to the creation of True Wealth Advisory Group, Marc served as Executive Director and Senior Banker at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. There, he led an integrated team of specialists who advised clients on their complex wealth management needs, including investments, wealth transfer strategies and lending.

Marc served as a Banker Team Lead for the Miami market, mentoring a team of colleagues, and was a member of the J.P. Morgan U.S. Private Bank Advisory Council, which solicits feedback and ideas that help address local and global business challenges and shape Private Bank priorities nationally.

Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Marc was a Vice President in the Investment Management Division at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in Miami where he advised ultra-high-net-worth clients and led a training program for summer associates. He received an award for “Outstanding Contribution to Private Wealth Management.”

Marc received his Bachelor of the Arts degree with Honors in Economics and Government from Oberlin College. He also earned his Master of Business Administration degree with Honors in Finance, and a specialty in Investment Management, from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He successfully completed level one of the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation.


Monica Izquierdo

Director of Client Relations & Operations

Monica is fully committed to providing a first-class client experience. She has more than 15 years of relationship management experience in the financial industry and private wealth management. She is skilled in helping clients with their unique financial needs and is dedicated to business operational excellence.

Prior to joining True Wealth Advisory Group, Monica was a Relationship and Project Manager in the Private Banking division and the Corporate Desk division of the Standard Chartered Bank (LatAm, Miami office). There, she helped to ensure the business operations ran smoothly. Her work included developing and executing strategic plans for business transitions. Her role also encompassed overseeing clients’ corporate trade operations and financial plans to fit their distinct and diverse needs. While there, she was elected to the Standard Chartered Bank’s internal talent program, offered to high potential and performing employees—a program that recognizes women leaders and offers additional professional development.

Before Monica’s experience at Standard Chartered Bank, she helped to build and enhance client experiences as an Account Officer for Espirito Santo Bank in Miami. She also worked in the Global Investment Specialist team at JPMorgan Chase—liaising with analysts and bankers to communicate investment ideas and strategies to their clients. Prior to this, she was an analyst in Private Wealth Management at Guggenheim Partners Advisors.

Monica received her Bachelor of the Arts degree in Economics from the University of Florida. She also holds an Associate of Science degree in Culinary Arts Management from the Miami Culinary Institute. She is also deeply involved in raising funds to support public education. Monica is fluent in English and Spanish.


Rachel Bollinger

Financial Analyst

Rachel is a Financial Analyst at True Wealth Advisory Group. She leverages strengths in reporting and data analysis to create and analyze long-term financial plans and asset allocations. 

Prior to True Wealth Advisory Group, Rachel interned for a New York-based practice focused on family law. She was responsible for assisting the attorneys with research and data analysis.

Rachel is currently completing her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Finance and Health Management at the University of Miami Business School. She graduates in May of 2020. 

Rachel is actively involved on campus with Women in Business and serves as a campus representative for Victoria’s Secret PINK. She enjoys volunteering for Art for Kids, where she visits downtown elementary schools and creates art projects with the students and other Art for Kids members.

Matthias Paul Kuhlmey

Executive Vice President, Head Enterprise Investments & Acquisitions, Head Global Investment Solutions (GIS)

Matthias Paul Kuhlmey is Head of Global Investment Solutions (GIS) at HighTower. Mr. Kuhlmey founded HighTower’s Global Investment Solutions division in 2011 to deliver investment research, analytics, due-diligence and access capabilities for HighTower advisors. Since that time, GIS has expanded further to include trading, lending, trust services, corporate services, and retirement plans. Specializing in global asset allocation concepts, Mr. Kuhlmey brings more than 25 years of international banking experience to HighTower.

Prior to joining HighTower, Mr. Kuhlmey served as an Executive Director at UBS’s prestigious Private Wealth Management Office in New York. Prior to this position, he oversaw the New York-based Domestic Private Banking Team at Bank Julius Baer in the U.S. While with Deutsche Bank AG in New York, Mr. Kuhlmey was actively involved in projects leading to the integration of Bankers Trust Co. into Deutsche Bank’s U.S.-based operation.

Mr. Kuhlmey received his degree in Business Law from the University of Applied Sciences in Lüneburg, Germany, and a Diploma in finance and banking from the Hannover Business School in Germany. Mr. Kuhlmey holds FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses.

Mr. Kuhlmey is an avid blogger and a frequent contributor to, The Huffington Post and Chuck Jaffe’s Money Life podcast. 

Matthew D. Harris, CMT®

Executive Director, Global Investment Solutions (GIS)

Matt Harris brings more than seven years of investment analysis and capital market experience to HighTower. His current focus is capital market analysis, manager search and selection, and intellectual property creation. 

Prior to joining HighTower, he worked as a Financial Advisor with a Senior Institutional Consulting wealth management team, which subsequently left Morgan Stanley in the fall of 2008 to join HighTower. His work within the wealth management team focused on investment analysis, portfolio construction and asset allocation.

Matt holds the FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and Chartered Market Technician® (CMT®) designation.  He played intercollegiate soccer for both the University Nevada‚ÄźLas Vegas and San Francisco State University, and graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.
